Mental Health training
Mental health training for adults (16 years and older) delivered by an experienced MHFA England instructor member.
You can expect:
- Interactive, highly informative, practical programmes that include group activities, case studies, discussions, and skills practice.
- Practical programmes designed to give you a deeper understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect people’s wellbeing.
- Taking part boosts knowledge and confidence in dealing with mental health issues and promotes early intervention which enables recovery.
- Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.
Courses include:
Half Day Mental Health Aware programme for up to 24 delegates. The open course per person is valued at £125 (excl. VAT) including material.
Full Day Mental Health Champion programme for up to 16 delegates. The open course per person is valued at £200 (excl. VAT) including material.
Two-day Mental Health First Aid programme for up to 16 delegates. The open course per person is valued at £325 (excl. VAT) including material.
Half Day Refresher programme for up to 16 delegates. The open course per person is valued at £150 (excl. VAT) including material. This course is recommended for Mental Health First Aiders that completed the 2-day course after 3 years to update their skills and continue to receive online resources and support for a further 3 years.
All programmes are also available online for up to 12 delegates per programme at the same cost.
The above programmes are also available for commissioned cohorts per organisation. The training delivery day rate for closed programmes will be quoted individually.
Mental Health Skills for Managers programme is a 4-hour online programme for line managers. The cost for this programme is £2,400 (excl. VAT) for a commissioned cohort of up to 16 delegates.
Mental Resilience Masterclass
This 90-minute masterclass is available online or in-person and takes the learner on a journey of self-awareness, an exploration to understand stress and wellbeing; and an opportunity to create or refine their own personal mental resilience strategy.
We look at healthy choices, thinking patterns, and emotional and social development tools; and relational leadership skills that could benefit mental resilience in the workplace.
Cost: Bespoke quotations will be provided for each programme and prices will depend on unique client needs.
Mental Resilience at Work Programme
This programme consists of a series of half-day and one-day workshops for all employees and for people managers. Below is an overview of the programme.
- Online survey to discover what the team need to help enable resilience, satisfaction and wellbeing at work.
- Module 1: Introduction to Mental Resilience– Half-day workshop to clarify what’s missing now; gain a deeper understanding of what mental resilience is; obtain tools and techniques how to develop resilience at work.
- Module 2: Healthy Relationships at Work– Full-day workshop to explore personality styles and effective human connection; explore stress triggers linked to different styles; and practice effective feedback.
- Module 3: Mental Health at Work- Half-day workshop to increase awareness and understanding of mental health; learn to manage stress and self-care techniques; learn how to spot symptoms of poor mental health and how to support self and others effectively
- Module 4 for people managers: Empowering your Team– Half-day workshop to learn coaching techniques; and understand psychological safety
- Module 5 for people managers: Inspire Performance– Full day workshop learn to communicate direction and motivate your team; learn how to lead with Emotional Intelligence; manage difficult conversations
- Small group coaching sessions (up to 8 delegates per coach) to facilitate learning transfer into the workplace
- Repeat survey (6 months after the completion of the learning programme) to measure success and transformation

Mental Resilience Coaching
The focus of mental resilience coaching is to help the coachee build their resilience and refine a strategy to have continued mental resilience.
Depending on the unique situation and client needs, often mental resilience coaching will consist of a series of 121 coaching sessions. The coach will bring resilience tools and techniques to help clients find the right strategy for them and help them to understand 1) the root cause of what’s getting in the way of their health; 2) become more self-aware to enable healthier choices; 3) learn confidence and mindset management; and 4) learn skills to overcome limiting beliefs.
